Making the decision to leave behind the security of a steady salary and embark on a journey of self-employment is not easy. It requires courage, determination, and a willingness to embrace the unknown. My own journey from the East Coast to the West, and the subsequent start of my business, has been a testament to the transformative power of taking that leap of faith.

In September 2019, I found myself at a crossroads. I had the opportunity to relocate for work, and despite the uncertainty, I decided to take the leap. However, by December of that year, I found myself without a job, facing an uncertain future in a new city. It was a challenging time, but it was also a moment of clarity.
Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle." - Christian D. Larson
As the world grappled with the COVID-19 pandemic, I made a decision that would change the course of my life: I decided to give myself a shot, bet on me, and start consulting. I packaged my 30 years of corporate knowledge into a business that I love. In February 2020, amidst the uncertainty and fear, I founded The Corporate Concierge and Cherie Harris Coaching, with a mission to empower women to live with intention and unleash their best selves.
Starting a business from scratch was not easy. There were moments of doubt and fear, but I refused to let them hold me back. With the support of my long-distance boyfriend, now husband, and the belief that I was on the right path, I forged ahead.
One of the most motivating factors behind my decision to move cross-country from Atlanta to California was my desire to close the gap of our then two-year long-distance relationship. Being closer to my boyfriend, who is now my husband, was a driving force behind my decision to make such a significant life change.
I am deeply thankful for his unwavering support during this transition. His encouragement, love, and belief in me have been invaluable as I navigated the challenges of starting a business. His presence has been a constant source of strength and inspiration, and I am grateful for him every day.

I remember the day I launched my business vividly. It was a mix of excitement and nervousness, wondering if I had made the right decision. But as the days turned into weeks and months, I began to see the impact of my work. I had the privilege of working with incredible women, helping them navigate the complexities of corporate life, relationships, and personal growth.

If you are considering taking a leap of faith and pursuing your dreams, here are some tips to help you along the way:
1. Believe in Yourself: Trust that you have the skills, knowledge, and passion to succeed. Self-belief is the foundation of any successful endeavor.
 2. Embrace Your Uniqueness: Don't let the idea of a saturated market deter you. Remember, no one can offer your unique perspective and approach.
 3. Make It Your Own: Find your unique selling proposition and showcase it. No one is doing it quite like you, and that's your strength.
 4. Study Success Stories: Learn from those who have done it well before you. Study their strategies, but remember to adapt them to fit your style and brand.
 5. Find Your Uniqueness: Identify what makes you different from others in your field. Highlight this in your marketing and use it to stand out.
 6. Market Yourself: Use social media and other marketing channels to promote your business and build your brand. Share your story, engage with your audience, and showcase your expertise.

Taking a leap of faith is not easy, but it can lead to incredible personal and professional growth. Embrace the journey, stay true to your goals, and never be afraid to pursue your dreams.
